St. Arnold Janssen

St. Arnold Janssen, was born on November 5, 1837, in Germany, ordained as priest, was in constant union with God. Holy Spirit used him as an instrument ┬áto be the founder of 2 active congregations – SVD (1875) and SSpS (1889).

Aware of the redemptive work of Jesus Christ which cannot be carried out without continuous support of Prayer and sacrifice, he founded the congregation of ‘Sister Servants of the Holy Spirit of perpetual Adoration’ (SSpSAP), popularly known as Holy Spirit Adoration Sisters or Pink Sisters.

Mother Mary Michael, was born on January 7, 1862, in Germany, was the Co-founderess of our congregation (SSpSAP).

Our Mother house in Steyl, spread across the world with 22 convents, and began in India , in the year 1983.
